About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a newsroom environment. Interns will contribute to the daily production of news stories for both broadcast and digital platforms while learning how modern journalism operates across multiple media channels.
What you'll do#
- Assist in researching, writing, and producing news content for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers in the newsroom and the field.
- Pitch fresh story ideas to help shape local coverage.
- Learn to shoot video and create compelling visuals.
- Gain exposure to control room operations and the production of live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or recent graduation.
- Minimum status of sophomore at an accredited college or university.
- Majors preferred include Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, English, or Business Administration.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation.
