About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a newsroom environment. You will contribute to the production of news stories for both broadcast and digital platforms while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a media organization.
What you'll do#
- Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers in the newsroom and in the field.
- Bring fresh story ideas to the table.
- Learn how to shoot video and understand how to frame compelling visuals.
- Gain exposure to control room operations and the production of live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be at least a sophomore at an accredited college or university.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate.
- Relevant majors include Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, English, or Business Administration.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation is required.

- This is an on-site internship located in Charleston, West Virginia.
- The term is for Fall 2026.
