About the role#
As an Accounting Intern at Simplot, you will work with finance professionals to gain practical exposure to controllership functions. This is a long-term, in-person internship designed to help you develop technical accounting skills and build a foundation for your future career. You will receive structured training and regular feedback from your team.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily and weekly financial reporting.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare and process journal entries.
- Analyze financial data to help identify trends or discrepancies.
- Participate in special projects that provide exposure to different areas of accounting and finance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Accounting or Finance at a nationally accredited college or university.
- Junior standing or higher.
- Successful completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- This role is based in Boise, Idaho.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid, rolling internship term.
