About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in payroll operations, administrative support, and financial processes at the Tyson Foods Amarillo Complex. You will gain exposure to real-time payroll processing and cross-functional office operations. The program includes weekly networking and development sessions with company leaders.
What you'll do#
- Support payroll processing through accurate data entry, validation, and reconciliation.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including record maintenance, reporting, and documentation.
- Use math and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with office teams and provide coverage across different work areas.
- Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one semester remaining.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong data entry accuracy, numerical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow processes, policies, and detailed instructions.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Previous work experience or exposure to office and payroll functions is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial or payroll systems, such as SAP, is a plus.
