About the role#
This internship offers students in the agriculture industry a chance to gain experience within the Simplot Grower Solutions trade area. You will start by focusing on daily operations during the peak season before transitioning into agronomy duties. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Eatonia, Saskatchewan.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and organize product movement while loading and unloading shipments for customers and suppliers.
- Treat seed as required and conduct inventory counts twice a week.
- Complete loadout tickets for all customer transactions.
- Maintain the yard by mowing grass, clearing debris, and leveling gravel.
- Scout three assigned fields throughout the growing season and consult with agronomists regularly.
- Use AgWorld and other tools to track scouting data.
- Assist with field trial programs, including applying, scouting, or capturing data.
- Help manage field signing initiatives and support field days or customer tours.
- Participate in ride-alongs and role shadowing with account managers and innovation leads.
- Attend the Winfield United Agronomy and Intern Training Program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in post-secondary education related to the agriculture industry.
- A valid Class 5 driver license.
- Ability to perform manual labor and tasks requiring manual dexterity.
