About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will join our team to gain hands-on experience in local government auditing. This role is based in Naperville or Springfield, Illinois, and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Learn the audit process for local government clients.
- Analyze and test financial statement elements.
- Perform compliance testing for laws and regulations.
- Build relationships with client personnel.
- Work with team members to provide client service.
- Assist on various accounting projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accounting, cost accounting, or auditing program.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Interest in pursuing CPA credentials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A commitment to integrity, servant leadership, and problem-solving.
- Skills in building trust, collaboration, and influencing others.
