About the role#
As an Audit Intern for the Summer 2027 term, you will join our team to gain practical experience in the employee benefits plan audit process. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work under the guidance of a manager while collaborating with team members across the organization. We offer hybrid and remote work arrangements.
What you'll do#
- Learn the employee benefit audit process from start to finish.
- Analyze, prepare, and test key components of client financial statements.
- Select samples for employee benefit plan audits.
- Assist with general accounting tasks and various accounting projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accounting, cost accounting, or auditing program.
- Interest in pursuing CPA credentials.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- A commitment to integrity, servant leadership, and problem-solving.
- A focus on building relationships and following through on commitments.
Location & details#
This role is based in Naperville, Illinois; Brookfield, Wisconsin; or East Peoria, Illinois. The base compensation for this position is $29 to $30 per hour, though final offers may vary based on location and experience.
