About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op, you will focus on HVAC and mechanical building systems. You will explore how thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency are achieved through mechanical design. You will support the development of systems that respond to architectural intent and sustainability goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and documentation of HVAC and mechanical systems for various building types.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout development.
- Contribute to Revit-based mechanical models, drawings, and schedules.
- Participate in energy modeling, sustainability studies, and system performance analysis.
- Learn how HVAC systems are coordinated with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
- Support interdisciplinary teams as they solve design challenges and refine building performance.
What you'll need#
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate student status in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Interest or coursework in HVAC, thermodynamics, or building systems.
- Curiosity about building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office.
- Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with a motivation to learn.
- Exposure to energy modeling tools or AutoCAD is a plus.

- This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- This is an on-site role for the Winter 2027 term.
- This is a paid, full-time temporary assignment.
