About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work in a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, gaining real world training to supplement your academic studies. The role focuses on patient interaction, pharmacy operations, and developing clinical knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, privacy requirements, and consent processes.
- Maintain a professional presence and ensure you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Develop your skills in patient counseling and communication with health care workers.
- Build knowledge regarding OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Learn the operational requirements necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a pharmacy degree program.
- An interest in providing a high quality experience for pharmacy customers.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

- Location: 236 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON.
- Employment type: Part time, on-site.
- Pay range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
