About the role#
This Pharmacy Intern position offers practical, real-world experience for students pursuing a career in pharmacy. You will work in a community setting, gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of a retail pharmacy while preparing for your future career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and follow all privacy requirements and consent management protocols.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the evolving roles of community pharmacists.
- Develop communication skills by interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care professionals.
- Build knowledge regarding OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Participate in training to learn how to manage a retail pharmacy effectively.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program with the goal of becoming a pharmacist.
- Ability to work in a community pharmacy environment.
- A commitment to providing an exceptional experience for pharmacy customers.

- Location: Pickering, Ontario.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
