About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Toronto. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, learning what it takes to manage a retail pharmacy while preparing for your future career as a pharmacist. This role offers the chance to work in a locally owned store while having the support of a national brand.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers as they approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Stay clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about disease state management and drug therapy.
- Provide patient counseling and gain knowledge of over-the-counter products.
- Improve your communication skills by interacting with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a student in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.

- This is an on-site role located at 761 King Street West, Toronto, ON.
- The position is part-time and follows a rolling term.
- The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
