About the role#
The Supply Chain Intern role is a summer assignment based at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. You will assist the Supply Chain Manager with daily tasks and special projects, working alongside team members to achieve operational goals. This internship runs from May 24, 2027, through July 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Inventory Planning Manager on production, sales, and inventory projections.
- Analyze manufacturing supply networks for finished goods across the US and Canada.
- Assist Master Production Schedulers with daily report generation.
- Conduct continuous improvement forecasting projects and review statistical forecasts.
- Manage inventory reduction tasks, including updating IQR and reviewing minimum stock levels.
- Identify low-frequency purchase items and transition them to a make-to-order process.
- Help balance inventories at distribution centers and review batch sizes.
- Learn the systems used within our Global Supply Chain.
- Participate in site events and employee engagement initiatives.
- Engage in career development programming, including workshops and networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university as a rising or current junior or senior.
- Pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related operations field.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting, such as work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is preferred.
