About the role#
The Supply Chain Intern role is a summer-long assignment based at our Lebanon, Pennsylvania facility. You will work directly with the local Supply Chain Manager to support daily operations and contribute to specific projects. This position is designed to provide exposure to our manufacturing and distribution processes while you assist team members in achieving site goals.
What you'll do#
- Support employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Work with the Inventory Planning Manager on monthly production, sales, and inventory projections.
- Analyze the manufacturing supply network for finished goods.
- Assist Master Production Schedulers with daily reporting tasks.
- Execute continuous improvement forecasting projects.
- Review and analyze statistical forecasts.
- Identify and review low-frequency purchased items.
- Manage inventory reduction projects, including updating IQR, minimum stock reviews, and weekly reviews of priority item lists.
- Help balance inventories at distribution centers.
- Review forecasts and batch sizes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Participate in early career development programming, including workshops and networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program.
- Status as a rising or current junior or senior.
- Pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
- At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preference is given to candidates with previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience.
