    About the role#

    The Quality Intern role is a 10-12 week assignment based at our Wheeling, Illinois facility. You will assist the Quality Manager with daily operations and special projects. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the Quality Manager with day-to-day tasks and special projects.
    • Learn quality systems, tools, processes, metrics, and standards.
    • Identify process and formula changes required for manufacturing existing formulas.
    • Complete training programs including Microbial Control, Institutional Test Methods, and Minitab & Basic Statistics.
    • Gain familiarity with the New Product Launch process, including Ship to Hold audits, test batches, and calibration methods.
    • Perform routine testing on paint and raw materials.
    • Participate in early career development programming and site engagement events.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
    • Pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
    • At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Minimum age of eighteen.
    • Ability to work in a team setting.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Previous internship or co-op experience with Sherwin-Williams is preferred.
