About the role#
The Management and Sales Summer Internship is a paid, 10-12-week program focused on hands-on retail store operations. You will gain practical experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, and store management. Interns work alongside management teams and sales representatives to gain insight into the industry. You will also complete a team-based project that addresses a specific business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items to customers.
- Contribute to sales goals through effective support.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise.
- Restock shelves, manage inventory, and assist with visual merchandising.
- Process point-of-sale transactions and prepare or mix products.
- Help unload deliveries and organize stockrooms.
- Participate in training sessions and follow store policies.
- Support team members in resolving customer concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university, specifically a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
- If currently employed by the company, you must have a meets expectations rating and have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
