About the role#
The Finance Intern role is a summer-long assignment based at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. You will assist the Finance Manager with day-to-day operations and special projects. This position runs from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027. You will work alongside team members to achieve departmental goals and participate in early career development programming.
What you'll do#
- Ensure daily production activity is processed accurately.
- Maintain purchase orders and receiving expenses using Enterprise Asset Management (eAM).
- Provide management with reports on purchases and open Point of Sales.
- Act as a resource for internal purchase order inquiries.
- Process purchase orders through Accounts Payable and assist with invoice filing.
- Prepare monthly state tax reports and analyze invoices for tax assessment.
- Close batch tickets and account for raw materials.
- Reconcile finished goods movement between distribution centers and direct shipments.
- Review batch tickets and investigate variances.
- Assist with monthly general ledger closing and account reconciliations.
- Participate in site events and employee engagement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
- A degree path in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- At least eighteen years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience in a team-oriented setting, such as previous work, military service, or extracurricular activities.
- Previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is preferred.
