About the role#
The Finance Intern role is a summer-long assignment based at our Buford, Georgia site. You will work directly with the Finance Manager to assist with daily operations and special projects. This is a full-time, on-site position running from May 24, 2027, through July 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Ensure daily production activity is processed accurately and on time.
- Maintain purchase orders and receiving expenses using Enterprise Asset Management.
- Provide management with reporting on purchases and open Point of Sales.
- Act as a resource for internal questions regarding purchase orders.
- Process purchase orders through Accounts Payable and assist with invoice filing.
- Prepare monthly state tax reports and analyze invoices for proper assessment.
- Close batch tickets and account for raw materials.
- Reconcile finished goods and track movement between the distribution center and direct shipments.
- Review batch tickets and investigate variances.
- Assist with monthly general ledger financial data closing and account reconciliations.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Engage in early career development programming including workshops and networking.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
- A degree path in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- At least eighteen years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
- Prior Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is a plus.
