About the role#
This is a 12-month full-time internship within the Wealth Management division. You will work on valuation processes and financial markets. The term runs from January 2027 to December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Verify and review financial data, broker quotations, and pricing sources across asset classes like equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and complete daily valuation packages with a focus on accuracy and auditability.
- Identify securities and escalate issues.
- Research financial markets, valuation methodologies, corporate actions, and investment products.
- Collaborate with team members to meet group objectives.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly market updates to the Valuation Committee.
- Expand your knowledge of financial instruments and valuation best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, accountable, and motivated approach to learning.
- Interest in financial markets and investment products.
- Experience with Bloomberg or other financial data platforms is an asset.
- Progress toward or interest in the CFA designation is an asset.
