About the role#
The ScotiaMcLeod Internship provides post-secondary students with exposure to the full-service wealth management business. You will work directly with advisors and team members to support business development, daily administration, and special projects. This role offers a broad view of the advisory industry and Scotia Wealth Management.
What you'll do#
- Process client requests and open new accounts.
- Maintain and document client files, following up as needed.
- Liaise with internal areas to resolve client issues.
- Create and maintain prospect databases and profiles.
- Identify new prospective relationships.
- Prepare marketing and presentation materials.
- Assist with client events and team communications.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Learn policies, processes, and products.
- Participate in monthly learning and networking sessions.
- Collaborate with business partners on assigned deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, specifically in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and shifting priorities.
- Strong time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

- Location: 100 Mile House, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
