About the role#
The ASPIRE Commercial Banking program at the National Office offers students hands-on experience in strategy, transformation, and business operations. You will work on projects that support the strategic priorities of the Commercial Banking division. This role is designed for students who want to explore how a large financial institution functions and contribute to operational excellence.
What you'll do#
- Support business initiatives and transformation projects through research, analysis, project coordination, and the development of presentations and project plans.
- Gather and synthesize information to identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and support informed decision-making.
- Review and improve processes to enhance operational efficiency, business performance, and the client experience.
- Track project activities, milestones, risks, and deliverables to ensure effective execution.
- Build relationships and collaborate with partners across Commercial Banking and the broader Bank.
- Communicate findings, progress, and recommendations clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture are considered in daily activities and decisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- A consistent display of professionalism.
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to August 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Status: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
