About the role#
The ASPIRE Commercial Banking program provides students with hands-on experience in the Mid-Market sector. You will work with teams that support mid-sized businesses across industries like manufacturing, retail, technology, and professional services. This role focuses on credit analysis, financial assessment, and building client relationships.
What you'll do#
- Support client relationship teams with research, financial analysis, and administrative tasks.
- Conduct company and industry analysis to inform credit and business decisions.
- Build your analytical and communication skills in a collaborative environment.
- Learn how the Bank balances client needs with risk and operational considerations.
- Contribute to key projects and partner across teams to drive business outcomes.
- Champion a client-focused culture and ensure that the Bank's risk appetite is considered in daily decisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good presentation skills and a professional demeanor.
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking.

- Location: St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
