About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Automotive Finance team at Scotiabank. You will gain exposure to credit analysis and financial reporting while working with a team in Anjou. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Complete the spreading of interim financial statements using Moody’s Risk Analyst.
- Monitor client account health by performing trend analysis.
- Determine client risk ratings based on your findings.
- Work with syndicate banks to gather due diligence and information for analysis.
- Prepare reports using Excel or PowerPoint.
- Provide administrative support for credit and fulfillment tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program focused on Business or Automotive studies.
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry.
- Intermediate skills in accounting and financial statement analysis.
- Basic credit knowledge, including financial modeling and risk assessment.
- Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities at once.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- High proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- Fluency in French and sufficient knowledge of English to collaborate with teams in Toronto and other English-speaking clients.
