About the role#
The Velocity Project/Product Management Internship is a customized program designed to provide development and tools for your career growth. You will join a team to learn, experiment, and contribute to projects within Scotiabank and Tangerine. This is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope and plan product phases or versions.
- Function as a bridge between technology, operations, and business teams to ensure requirements are understood.
- Work within an Agile team to write user stories and define business requirements.
- Validate requirements and stories with stakeholders and customers.
- Manage and prioritize the backlog across multiple work streams.
- Partner with business leaders to promote data-driven decision making.
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure project success.
- Ensure high-quality execution of all deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, specifically in Business Administration.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Ability to document and understand business process models.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects.
- Knowledge of project management software such as Visio.
- Familiarity with both Agile and waterfall development methodologies.
- Experience using data to rationalize decisions and provide recommendations.
