About the role#
As an intern or co-op student within TD Auto Finance (TDAF) Commercial Credit & Operations, you will gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end credit lifecycle for automotive dealers across Canada. You will rotate through Commercial Operations, Credit Monitoring, and Commercial Credit. This role supports informed credit decisions, operational efficiency, and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through key functional areas to learn about commercial banking.
- Contribute to day-to-day analysis, reporting, and risk management activities.
- Work alongside experienced credit and operations professionals.
- Support the delivery of financial solutions to automotive dealers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Intent to return to school following the completion of your work term.
- A basic understanding of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and flag risks or exceptions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
- A collaborative mindset.
- Strong interest in commercial credit, risk management, and the automotive industry.
