About the role#
This co-op position offers an opportunity to work within the Thermal Management department. You will take on project assignments with a high level of independence and accountability. The role includes hands-on training and exposure to engineering and manufacturing processes at Schaeffler.
What you'll do#
- Assist with product design and development tasks.
- Perform design concept work and engineering calculations for thermal systems.
- Create 3D models and component designs using CAD tools.
- Conduct research on advanced thermal management technologies.
- Support benchmarking activities and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with team members on coolant and refrigerant system initiatives.
- Attend departmental meetings and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Hands-on CAD modeling experience is preferred.
