Student Grocery Clerk I

About the role#

The Student Grocery Clerk I position is an on-site, full-time role based in Killam, Alberta. This position supports the daily operations of the Killam Food store, reporting directly to the Grocery Manager. The role requires physical activity, including standing, bending, crouching, and lifting products.

What you'll do#

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Manage inventory tasks, including stocking shelves and performing inventory counts.
• Maintain the quality and condition of merchandise to meet store standards.
• Ensure the department remains neat, clean, and well-merchandised.
• Follow established cleaning and maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Complete required in-house training and e-learning certifications.
• Monitor for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment.

What you'll need#

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Quality communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Previous customer service experience is considered an asset.
• Enrollment in Business Administration or Operations Management programs is preferred.
