About the role#
We are hiring a Student Grocery Clerk I for our Killam Food Store. This is a full-time position offering 8 to 16 hours per week. You will report directly to the Grocery Manager.
What you'll do#
- Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers.
- Manage inventory stocking and perform regular inventory counts.
- Ensure all merchandise meets store standards for quality and condition.
- Follow established cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Complete required in-house e-learning training and certifications.
- Monitor the store to prevent unauthorized removal of merchandise or equipment.
This role involves using computers and requires physical activity, including standing, bending, crouching, and lifting heavy products.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Quality communication skills.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Previous experience in customer service is an asset.
- Pursuing studies in Business Administration or Operations Management.
