About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join a project team within our Nuclear Power Group for the summer of 2027. You will work under the direction of senior engineers to contribute to the design and upgrade of power plant and industrial facility systems. This role provides an opportunity to apply your academic background to real-world engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering team members with daily project execution.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Support the design of new systems or modifications to existing facility components.
- Track and evaluate project progress, data, and reporting activities.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, General, or Systems Engineering.
- Strong academic foundation in mechanical systems analysis, specifically thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- We do not provide work authorization sponsorship for this position.
- Prior internship or co-op experience, knowledge of practical engineering principles, and enrollment in an ABET-accredited program are valued.
