About the role#
Samtec Inc is hiring an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to work on-site in New Albany, Indiana. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling start date. You will focus on signal integrity testing for high speed twinaxial cable assemblies and support global facilities with their testing needs.
What you'll do#
- Run High Speed Electrical Test (HSET) equipment and report your findings.
- Configure HSET systems to accommodate Samtec products.
- Design multilayer circuit boards for HSET applications.
- Analyze test data to find the root causes of failures.
- Manage your projects using internal project management systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- One year of experience performing electrical diagnosis on systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with a high-level programming language such as Python, C, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist.
- Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
