About the role#
The Food Pantry Manager oversees daily operations for the Saint Mary's College food pantry. This position requires working autonomously while maintaining daily communication with the Student Involvement office. This is a paid, on-site position for Saint Mary's students only.
What you'll do#
- Manage the day to day operations of the pantry.
- Process and fulfill orders for non-perishable, cold, and frozen food items.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and monitor stock for expiration dates.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility.
- Stock incoming food items.
- Staff the pantry during operating hours to assist students with pickups and order placements.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate trustworthy ethics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team.
- Dependability.
- Preferred majors include Human Resources, Business Administration, Nutrition, Psychology, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- Location: Notre Dame, Indiana.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Includes standard office hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, as well as evening and weekend shifts.
