26-27 Food Pantry Manager - Student Involvement

About the role#

The Food Pantry Manager oversees the daily operations of the food pantry at Saint Mary's College. This role requires working autonomously while maintaining daily communication with the Student Involvement office. This is a paid position for the Fall 2026 term, open exclusively to current Saint Mary's College students.

What you'll do#

• Manage daily pantry operations, including filling orders and inventory management.
• Stock non-perishable food items and monitor expiration dates to ensure all stock is current.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility.
• Facilitate the pickup and delivery of food items, including cold and frozen goods.
• Staff the pantry during open hours to assist students with orders.

What you'll need#

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a dependable work ethic.
• Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team.
• Relevant academic background in areas such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Nutrition, Psychology, or Public Health is preferred.

• Work Modality: On-site
• Schedule: Includes standard office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and evening shifts.
