About the role#
S&B is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This role involves performing routine assignments under the supervision of senior engineers. You will work within a multi-discipline team to support marine vessel and floating structure projects, requiring daily face-to-face interaction and collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer to provide project support.
- Assist in the development of DC and AC electrical load analysis.
- Create and maintain one-line diagrams.
- Perform voltage drop and cable selection calculations.
- Assist with electrical equipment arrangement.
- Adhere to all company safety, environmental, quality assurance, and security programs.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least four years of undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems for marine vessels and floating structures.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.
- Eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
