About the role#
TAI, a subsidiary of S&B, is looking for an intern to join our marine engineering team in New Orleans. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers and naval architects to complete routine design tasks. This role requires daily, face-to-face interaction with your team, as you will be working on-site to help deliver marine projects.
What you'll do#
- Support senior engineers and naval architects with their daily tasks.
- Conduct design reviews.
- Solve technical issues and manage project information through construction phases.
- Follow company safety, environmental, and quality assurance programs.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to complete projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Proficiency with computer software and automated engineering design tools.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks like walking, climbing, and balancing.
