About the role#
S&B is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join our Pulp and Paper team. You will work on clearly defined assignments using established design techniques and procedures. You will be supervised by experienced engineers and specialists as you gain hands-on experience in an engineering, procurement, and construction environment.
What you'll do#
- Visit existing plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Assist in preparing equipment specifications, inquiries, and purchase requisitions.
- Review vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help maintain equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Contribute to the preparation of design guides and contract proposals.
- Support plant start-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Chemical Engineering at an accredited university.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Ability to read safety manuals, write reports, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Capability to perform field visits, which may involve climbing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
