About the role#
S&B is looking for a Project Engineering Intern to join our Pulp & Paper team. You will coordinate engineering and design activities for small projects and task force applications. This position reports to a Project Lead, Project Engineer, or Project Manager.
What you'll do#
- Record action items and meeting notes during model reviews.
- Facilitate project squad check meetings to collect comments and manage documentation.
- Initiate project change orders when scope changes impact the budget or schedule.
- Perform cold eye reviews of engineering work packages to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Log project RFIs and track them until closure.
- Maintain project logs, contact lists, and distribution matrices.
- Prepare FEL scope books and assist with project manuals.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or current enrollment as a full-time engineering student. Majors include Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and standards.
- Proficiency with mathematical concepts like trigonometry and geometry.
- No prior work experience is required.
- Ability to participate in occasional field trips to construction sites or operating plants, which may involve standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

- This is a paid, full-time rolling internship.
