About the role#
S&B is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to assist with routine assignments. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and specialists to learn established design techniques and procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multi-discipline team to complete projects, requiring daily face-to-face interaction and regular meetings.
What you'll do#
- Visit existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.
- Collect data to help prepare equipment specifications, purchase requisitions, and inquiries.
- Review vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help prepare equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Assist with the preparation of design guides and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts like geometry, trigonometry, and statistical inference.
