About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the field of public accounting. Interns are treated as full-time team members and are assigned a Career Advocate to help establish personalized professional goals. Training includes the use of firm accounting and tax networks. This is a paid, full-time position requiring a commitment of at least eight weeks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff members.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Handle compliance tasks related to Federal, State, Local, and Wealth-Management practice areas.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
- Gather and analyze industry research and internal controls.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior academic standing.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills.
