About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting at RubinBrown LLP. Interns are treated as full time team members and are expected to maintain a full time schedule for a period of at least eight weeks. Each intern is assigned a Career Advocate to assist in setting personalized goals and receives training on firm accounting and tax networks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Handle compliance tasks related to Federal, State and Local, and Wealth-Management practice areas.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
- Gather and analyze industry research and internal controls.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior academic status.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
