About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting through a hands-on experience. Interns work as full-time team members for a minimum of eight weeks. You will receive an orientation covering administrative and professional matters and will be assigned a Career Advocate to help you set and achieve personalized goals. Training includes the use of firm accounting and tax networks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Manage compliance tasks related to Federal, State and Local, and Wealth-Management practice areas.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
- Analyze and develop an understanding of internal controls.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior student status.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax course is preferred.
