About the role#
The Entrepreneurial Services Group at RubinBrown LLP partners with business owners to improve and grow their enterprises. This internship provides exposure to a wide range of business, accounting, and tax issues while working with emerging entrepreneurial clients.
What you'll do#
- Apply general accounting procedures across various service offerings.
- Plan and execute day-to-day activities for small business engagements.
- Review client documentation to prepare financial statements and tax returns.
- Perform attest procedures, including reviews and compilations of financial statements.
- Assist with income tax planning and the preparation of income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Maintain client records and general ledgers on automated systems.
- Prepare payroll tax reports, filings, 1099s, and W-2 forms.
- Communicate accounting and tax matters to engagement team members and maintain direct relationships with clients.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Actively working toward CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills and a commitment to learning in a technology-driven environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to utilize analytical and research abilities to meet client requirements.
