About the role#
RubinBrown LLP is seeking a Data Management Intern to join the tax production team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based in our Denver office. You will gain hands-on experience with the data management and input side of the tax process while working in a professional services environment. No prior tax or accounting experience is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Process and assemble various tax documents, including individual, business, payroll, 1099s, and estimate vouchers.
- Scan, organize, and prepare original client documents, such as 1040s and 1041s, for our digital workflow.
- Input data into tax return systems using specialized software tools.
- Perform quality checks to identify and fix data inaccuracies or inconsistencies.
- Track deadlines and maintain the accuracy of workflows.
- Collaborate with Tax Production teams across our nationwide offices.
- Assist with general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, information systems, or business information and analytics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A basic understanding of data management principles, databases, and data structures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- An interest in public accounting, tax, or operational support.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and function well within a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Denver, Colorado.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Commitment: This role requires a minimum of 24 hours per week, with at least three 8-hour workdays between Monday and Friday. Availability for 40 hours per week is preferred. Typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with potential for night or weekend work. Physical requirements include sitting for long periods, moving throughout the office, and the ability to lift or carry up to 30-50 pounds.
