About the role#
The Entrepreneurial Services Group at RubinBrown partners with business owners to help them grow. You will join this team to gain experience with accounting, tax, and consulting for small businesses.
What you'll do#
- Apply general accounting procedures to client engagements.
- Plan and carry out day-to-day activities for small business clients.
- Assist with income tax planning for individuals and small businesses.
- Prepare payroll tax reports, filings, 1099s, and W-2 forms.
- Communicate directly with clients to build working relationships.
- Review documentation for financial statements and tax returns.
- Perform attest procedures like reviews and compilations.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- You are working toward your CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills and a comfort level with new technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.

- This internship is located in St. Louis, Missouri.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2028 term.
