About the role#
As a Managed IT Services Service Desk Consulting Intern, you will join our Technology Consulting group for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced consultants to provide remote technical support to our external managed service clients. This role offers exposure to infrastructure engineering, technology design, and business operations. Please note that you will be required to sign a consent form authorizing the recording of client calls for training and quality assurance purposes.
What you'll do#
- Provide phone and email technical support for end-users to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Support and troubleshoot workstations, servers, and network-related issues.
- Perform systems administration for Office 365, Windows Servers, and workstations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot client backups.
- Manage and update cases based on impact and priority.
- Document support issues and resolution steps in our ticketing system.
- Escalate client issues through proper channels.
- Monitor trends in reported cases to identify potential chronic infrastructure or software issues.
- Maintain client security standards and confidentiality.
- Communicate with clients throughout the resolution process.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or an IT-related concentration.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a reasonable capacity for stress.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and Apple or Windows-based hardware and software.
- Experience with Office 365, Email, and SharePoint.
- Experience with firewalls (Cisco, SonicWALL, Meraki), VMWare ESX hosts, and vSphere.
- Experience with Windows Servers, Azure AD, Teams, and remote solutions like Citrix, VPN, or Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience with enterprise mobile devices.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client locations.

- Compensation: $29 - $35 per hour.
