About the role#
The Audit Services Intern role provides a structured experience within our Audit Services Department. You will work under the direction of the Audit Services Manager to conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits. This position requires a 12-month commitment starting in May 2027 and ending in May 2028.
What you'll do#
- Perform and assist with operational, financial, and compliance audits.
- Identify, analyze, and document information to meet audit objectives.
- Draft recommendations to address identified risks.
- Support external audit preparation and handle administrative tasks for the team.
- Protect department and credit union confidentiality.
- Apply professional ethics and collaborate with team members.
- Complete duties required for Bank Secrecy Act compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Completion of or current enrollment in audit or accounting coursework.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and comfort using digital solutions.
- Ability to apply logical thinking, analytical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong interviewing and listening skills.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience balancing school work with jobs, volunteering, or club participation.
Location & details#
- Location: Corporate Center, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Schedule: Approximately 14 to 17 hours per week during the school year and 30 hours per week during breaks, typically between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $18.64 to $22.46 per hour.
- Training: New team members attend mandatory Foundation Training at the Corporate Center from 9:00am to 4:30pm on the first Monday and Tuesday of employment.
