About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Aiea, Hawaii, gaining hands-on experience in the electrical construction industry. This program connects you with experienced professionals to help you apply your classroom knowledge to active projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with design activities for power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
- Support the preparation and review of technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform basic electrical calculations and engineering analyses.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with construction and engineering teams.
- Support field visits and site observations to learn about project execution.
- Learn and use industry software, tools, and engineering best practices.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later, with preference for rising juniors or seniors.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Autodesk software like AutoCAD or Revit, and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow directions, and meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude and the initiative to ask questions in a team environment.
- Previous construction or engineering internship experience is a plus.
