About the role#
As a Technical Sales Co-op with the Perception team at OTTO by Rockwell Automation, you will gain exposure to advanced robotics systems. You will learn to communicate complex technical concepts in accessible terms for customers across various industries. You will work alongside experienced sales professionals who will mentor you on building customer relationships and finding the right solutions for their needs.
What you'll do#
- Handle incoming customer inquiries via email, phone, and online channels.
- Assist with customer correspondence, outreach campaigns, and follow-ups.
- Process customer orders with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide customers with product information, pricing, and availability.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate complex challenges to senior team members.
- Maintain customer records within internal databases.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
- Participate in sales operations projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Availability for an 8-12 month full-time co-op term.
- Residence within 50 miles of the Waterloo office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience with or interest in robotics, automation, and industrial technology.
- Ability to translate technical topics into layman's terms.
- Familiarity with data management tools such as Excel or CRM platforms like Salesforce.
- Basic analytical skills and comfort working with structured data.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Location & details#
- Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays).
- Compensation: $20 to $32 per hour, based on skills and experience.
