About the role#
The Rockefeller Group is hiring a Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Morristown, New Jersey office. You will work directly with our North Central Development department to support the entire real estate development lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research on demographics, supply and demand, labor, and population growth.
- Visualize research findings using heat maps, zip code analysis, and transportation drive time radii.
- Assist the team with financial analysis, site assessment, and internal reporting.
- Support the underwriting of potential acquisition deals and perform due diligence reviews.
- Help manage construction projects, project budgets, and financial reporting.
- Gather and synthesize real estate metrics for competitive projects and comparable transactions.
- Create exhibits for legal documents and memorandums.
- Assist with project approvals and the stabilization or disposition of existing projects.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree and will be entering your junior or senior year.
- Preferred majors include real estate, finance, or business administration.
- A clear interest in the real estate industry and a desire to pursue a career in the field after graduation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as CoPilot.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while maintaining a cooperative attitude.
- High attention to detail.

- Location: Morristown, New Jersey.
- Modality: This is an on-site, in-office role.
- Term: Summer 2027, from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, 33 to 35 hours per week.
- Note: Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the intern.
