    About the role#

    As a Fraud Operations Intern, you will conduct end-to-end investigations on accounts with suspected fraud. Your goal is to protect customers and minimize financial exposure for the firm. You will review alerts, determine if fraud occurred, and identify emerging patterns through data analysis.

    What you'll do#

    • Investigate suspected fraudulent alerts using internal and external tools.
    • Use data analysis and pattern detection to identify new fraud trends.
    • Communicate findings and emerging trends to relevant stakeholders.
    • Document the rationale for each alert and submit referrals to other teams.
    • Communicate with customers regarding account information during active fraud investigations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a full-time degree program for Business, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field.
    • Expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
    • Interest in fraud typologies like Account Takeovers, Identity Theft, and Money Movement Fraud.
    • Ability to independently make sound decisions on complex cases.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Denver, Colorado.
    • The position is a hybrid role, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
    • This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
    • Sponsorship is not provided for this role.
