About the role#
We are looking for a Tax Intern to join our corporate office in Jacksonville, Florida, for the summer of 2027. This role offers exposure to REIT, partnership, and corporate taxation within the commercial real estate sector. You will work full-time, 40 hours per week, for approximately 9 weeks. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time roles based on business needs.
What you'll do#
- Calculate taxable income for entities, including analysis of book and tax differences.
- Monitor REIT compliance.
- Perform fixed asset reconciliations.
- Use general ledger systems and reporting tools, such as JD Edwards, GL Inquiry, and Spreadsheet Server, for financial analysis.
- Apply Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas, for reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or higher at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Completion of at least one intermediate Accounting course.
- Intermediate proficiency or higher with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to work a standard 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work effectively within a team.
