About the role#
The Corporate Accounting Intern will support our lease accounting transformation. You will focus on migrating lease data to a new software platform and help centralize lease accounting across the company. This role offers hands-on experience in data integrity, system migration, testing, and process documentation.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, cleanse, organize, and validate lease data for migration to new software.
- Reconcile source data against lease agreements, accounting records, and system reports.
- Execute system and user acceptance test scenarios, while documenting results and defects.
- Validate migrated data and system calculations for accuracy.
- Summarize project status and findings for the project team and the final intern project expo.
- Assist in developing process documentation and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically sorting, filtering, lookups, and basic data validation.
- Comfort working with structured data and large data sets.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
