About the role#
This position focuses on professional relationship management and delivering financial advice within a commercial banking environment. You will work in a role that aligns sales, products, risk policy, and market strategies to create solutions for individual client needs. This is a senior-level internship that requires experience with financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and generate leads using your business development experience.
- Manage portfolios and mitigate risk by reviewing financial statements, identifying trends, and monitoring credit.
- Deliver financial advice to provide an exceptional client experience.
- Identify referral opportunities and introduce clients to RBC partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop and execute client contact strategies.
- Advocate for digital tools by educating clients on the use of the RBC mobile application and wallet.
What you'll need#
- A minimum of 2-3 years of commercial banking experience.
- A proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
- Credit skills, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit structuring.
- Specialized industry expertise from a past role.
- Experience with emerging communications and technology, such as web-based meetings and digital banking.
- A university degree, preferably in business administration, commerce, or a related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of banking products and services, along with new client acquisition skills.
