About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join a team focused on data analytics within the Wealth Management division. You will work on projects that inform strategic decision-making and gain exposure to the banking industry. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April.
What you'll do#
- Define business requirements and processes while working with internal partners.
- Measure project success and business impact through analysis and reporting.
- Create reports and dashboards to support strategic goals.
- Perform trending analysis, projections, and forecasts using statistical modelling.
- Investigate, transform, and interpret data sources for analytical use.
- Develop diagrams, flow charts, and supporting documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with project management, planning, and coordinating multiple deliverables.
- Ability to consolidate large amounts of information into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in data manipulation tools like SQL, DB2, MySQL, Python, or R.
- Experience cleaning, transforming, and visualizing data using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlikview.
- Sound judgment in the validation and presentation of findings.
