About the role#
As a Client Advisor Intern, you act as an RBC ambassador within our branches. You will focus on putting clients first, identifying their individual needs, and providing solutions. This role is intended for individuals who are self-motivated and eager to help clients use our digital tools. You will support new client acquisition and strengthen existing relationships while working toward a future career as an Account Manager or Banking Advisor.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients in the branch to provide a high-quality service experience.
- Complete transactions and identify opportunities to offer advice, digital solutions, or partner introductions.
- Educate clients on our services and demonstrate how to use technology for their banking needs.
- Resolve and prevent client banking problems by taking personal ownership of issues.
- Collaborate with team members and partners to maintain the One RBC team approach.
- Manage risks by following compliance routines and processes to protect client interests.
- Contribute to team goals by listening for opportunities to fulfill client solutions.
What you'll need#
- A goal-oriented mindset with a focus on putting clients first.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Digital literacy across devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Flexibility to work varying hours.
- A willingness to learn financial concepts and obtain the Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course.
- Self-motivation and a drive to succeed.
- Experience in building rapport with clients in the financial, service, or retail industry is an asset.
- Mutual Funds accreditation is considered a plus.
