    About the role#

    This role provides first line of defence trade support for Commodities trading desks, including Oil and Gas, Metals, Power, and Agriculture. You will ensure the accurate daily processing of OTC, exchange traded derivatives, and physical trades. The position involves managing the full trade lifecycle, from validation and reconciliation to reporting and system maintenance.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform trade validation, verification, and reconciliation for commodities derivatives and physical trades.
    • Monitor trade capture errors, analyze causes, and take corrective action to minimize loss.
    • Generate intraday flash trading PnL and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
    • Ensure successful intraday and end of day batch processes to support downstream feeds and risk reporting.
    • Load curves and prices, including MTM, settlement, and volatilities.
    • Liaise with Front Office and cross-functional teams to resolve trade breaks and system issues.
    • Develop technology tools such as VBA macros to improve daily workflows.
    • Assist with new product setup and maintain operational procedures.
    • Prepare and dispatch client MTM statements and monitor supervisory reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
    • Strong academic credentials.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • High degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems quickly.
    • Sound technical skills and initiative in learning new systems.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Employment Type: Full time, 12-month co-op term.
